$36,000 in Agriculture Funding Announced for Milton
On June 18th, 2020, Adam did an announcement on funding that two local Milton organizations, Country Heritage Agricultural Society and Community Living North Halton, received to support their agriculture projects. During the COVID-19 pandemic, where many people are worried about putting food on the table, the work these organizations are doing is even more important.
This funding was announced as a part of the Local Food Infrastructure Fund through the Ministry of Agriculture and Agri-Food. In the Halton region, where 25% of employment is agriculture related, funding like this is particularly important. These projects range from support those facing food insecurity to creating opportunities in the agriculture sector for those who need it most.
